Homework 2/19

Just a reminder that the "Beauty" Discussion Questions are due Thursday at the beginning of class.  You won't have much, if any, time on them tomorrow, so you should work on them some tonight and some tomorrow night to lessen the "burden."  Don't procrastinate, minions!  ;)

I hope you are enjoying your weekend, young ones.  In case you have forgotten, you need to finish the yellow "After You Read 1-3" on "Beauty..." if you didn't in class.  Thanks!

Be the Change projects due tomorrow!

Make sure they are ready when you come to class!  I will be in my room before school if you need to come finish anything.  Remember you should each have a copy of the brainstorm and the proposal/procedure, but you only need one poster.  Can't wait to see the final projects!  :)

Reminder 2/9

Remember, there is no formal homework assignment this weekend, but if you need to do things for your project (find pictures, finish your proposal/procedure, work on poster, etc.) so that it is ready w/o much class time Monday, then please do that!  Oh, and hope to see you at STAAR Academy this morning!

IANs due...

Don't forget!  6th/7th, you are on deck to turn in tomorrow (as well as late notebooks for 3rd/4th); 1st/2nd your day is Friday.  Make sure all the work is actually done, folks!  :)

IANs due this week!

Pages 72-82 are due this week.  There is nothing on 74, 75, or 81 yet, so don't worry, I have those papers!  Due days are:  3rd/4th Wednesday, 6th/7th Thursday, 1st/2nd Friday.  Make sure all the work is done and in, please.  Oh, and do your best on your timed essay tomorrow.  Carpe diem, minions!!!!  ;)

Homework 1/22

You need to finish all the workbook pages (p.80-IAN),  the OER (p. 79-IAN), and the green worksheet (p. 78-IAN)  tonight.  Make sure everything is taped down, as you have a test tomorrow over "Before Hip-Hop Was Hip-Hop" and nonfiction and you will be allowed to use your notebook and a dictionary, so be prepared! Also, if you still owe me all or part of your essay, make sure it goes in the basket tomorrow.  Thanks, and see some of you at Challenge Day!  :)

Homework and Final Draft Reminder 1/16

If you have had your writing conference today, your final draft (along w/the rough draft, story map/brainstorm, and bright green rubric on p. 74-IAN) is due TOMORROW (1/17) at the beginning of class. If you have not had your writing conference, yours will be due FRIDAY (1/18) at the beginning of class. EVERYONE should finish their notes tonight if you haven't already.  

FINAL DRAFT DUE DATES

If you have had your writing conference already, your final draft (along w/the rough draft, story map/brainstorm, and bright green rubric on p. 74-IAN) is due TOMORROW (1/16) at the beginning of class. If you have not had your writing conference, yours will be due THURSDAY (1/17) at the beginning of class. Notes started in class today are NOT homework.  You will have time in class to work on them tomorrow.
