Homework 1/31; IANS due this week

Don't forget to do short answer question #2 (Do you think Walker's judgement of modern hip hop is fair or biased?) for homework tonight (rough AND final draft).  Also, pp. 84-89 due this week.  4th/5th periods due tomorrow, 6th/7th on Thursday.  If you are in 1st/3rd and didn't turn it in today, make sure you turn it in late tomorrow!!

Homework 1/24

Don't forget to reread "Thirty-Eight Who Saw Murder Didn't Call the Police" and highlight/underline diction that shows the author's tone.  We will be using this tomorrow in our A.P.E. short answers, so please please please do it!!!!

"Be the Change" Projects/Test Corrections

Work hard on the projects over the next couple of days, kiddos!  Don't forget, it is a summative grade.  I will help on Friday to make sure you haven't missed anything, but you should be close to done by then.  Also, test corrections can begin on Friday.  Remember that they must be done by the following day or you will not receive any additional credit.  (+3 points for each corrected error)  Be good, and see you on Friday!

Super STAAR Academy

Don't forget the first Super STAAR Academy is this Saturday, 1/14/12.  It starts at 9 and goes until 12:30.  You can leave early if needed, but you must be on time to get in.  Go to student entrance by the commons to get in, and happy test prepping!

Don't forget to do the Vocab worksheet I gave y'all today (about breakdancing).  It is due tomorrow at the beginning of class on Tuesday!

IANS due this week

The first interactive notebook check of the semester is this week.  Same schedule as always (1/3 on Tuesday, 4/5 on Wednesday, 6/7 on Thursday).  Make sure the table of contents is filled in!
